Rubiks cube on bike!! Crazzzy!!

Okay, so today was my first real time with swimming at school. Still not completely healthy (yes, I've been a bit sick, think I forgot to tell you that :P) but it worked pretty okay. Only problem was that we had a test. In breathing while crawling.. I got a 5/10, I did it pretty much perfect but I missed the tiny, but o, so important side note that you would get a 5 if you took your breath for every other stroke and 10 if you took a breath every third stroke. So I did as he had instructed us earlier and took a breath every second, which was a mistake. But at leasts it was better than my math test :S Today I got a crazy idea. After solving the Rubiks cube in different ways, with one hand, two hands, halfway not looking etc I figured it was time for a new challenge. And it was on a bike ride with my brother to got some Fir branches for a costume, tell you more about that some other time, that I got the idea. While biking without hands as I usually do I took the mini-cube I happened to have in my pocket out and started solving it. So after we got the branches I got in, got my camcorder and spent about an hour trying, failing and searching for a long enough road for me to be able to solve it. Of course it took a bit longer than usual, not only because I was biking at the same time but also as I had to hold my camcorder in one hand, solve the cube with the other and watch the traffic at the same time. But I did it! And here is my proof, a 15 minute long video of me solving the Rubiks cube while biking without hands and filming it ;) Oh and sorry for the cub going of screen at about 3 minutes, my phone was calling, and pardon my pseudo-French, was a bit stressed as you might have guessed :P (NOTE: Turns out Youtube can only take video up to 10 minutes, thus I have doubled the speed and added some bloopers. I'll post the full thing some other time):

So the other day I managed to talk myself into making dinner. My host brother said that some soup was spicy and I mentioned Chili con Carne. As they had newer heard of it they wanted me to make it, knowing I know how to cook and all. So I went to the store to get my ingredients, and I figured out one thing: Those guys don't eat tacos! At home I normally use a pack of taco spice mix for the meat but they had never even heard of taco before so I ended up improvising. But it turned out good, a bit to strong for my "brother" and the others had to mix it with large quanta of rice (had ten chilies in there) but they told me it was good and that was indeed my opinion too. But I should really make some Norwegian food for them once, any ideas? I was thinking about trying to see if I could get some Salmon and just steak it with a nice salad but I'm not sure how easy that is to get down here. Also considered Norwegian meatballs. And of course Norwegian egg-cream (eggedosis) ;)

But yet again I have to say goodnight after a short post, maybe it's even just good. Easier to read = more people, I think.. Let's see ;) So, as normal, subscribe if you want to know of the posts before everyone else. And comment to show everyone else how cool you are :P

  2. who puts ten chili's in a chili con carne? then it's very weird that they thought it was strong (note sarcasm). Nice rubiks cubing, that was showing serious skills;)tips for norwegian food: fårikål of course, kjøttkakes are surely not everyday food in belgium, or perhaps finnbiff;)

  3. If you ever do a silly stunt like the rubiks cube stunt again I will personally travel down to Liege and give you a round of heavy beating! With that kind of traffic, the most amazing thing is that you are still alive! Don´t ever do it again!

  4. Det var ikke en bakke, var en laang, laang strekning ;)

I do :D Have you seen how much they eat here? I also had approximately one herd of cows and a farm of beans, ten chillies was just about the right amount ;) I thought about fårikål but it takes pretty long to prepare, might do it on a Wednesday as we end early.. Finnbiff would be awesome but I'm not sure if I can get skav or ever better reinskav down here..

Traffic? There were only a few cars, and it was really slow riding. Remember the full clip is 15 minutes, what seems like race cars in the video or regular cars driving besides me on a wide road. The hardest part was to find a long flat road where I could bike for 15 minutes without going too steep.
