Oh and that thing you see in the very left picture of the last synth is a gate which you need a pass card to get through :S The school here is just so much more strict down here. For example they are not allowed to drink anything during class (which seems kind of unlogical as lack of liquid makes you lose focus), you need this pass thing to get out of school during breaks, you must write down everything you do in every class in a so called "Class Journal" (They check it and your parents have to sign it every week) and, not very weird but still different, you're not allowed to use computers during class. Back in Norway I always thought that computers were mostly used for non-school related work, and maybe it was, but when you first lose the opportunity to use it you start to see how practical it actually was. The possibility to check some information in seconds or let the teachers use on-line teaching resources is just a huge plus. But school is going great, Physics was pretty easy (we're already over on the chemistry part, hope we'll get back) and math is well, math. Only problem is that they use different methods to achieve the same results, and at home we haven't learned 4 degree equations yet. Here it is repetition.. Same with inequations. And on Monday we've got a math test, on equation solving, that'll be fun :P But the worst part is History, Geography and Religion. It's basically just talking and references to maps and texts which is hard to follow when you're new to the language, but their taking it easy on me :) English is of course a piece of cake, just talking and a few notes. My English teacher is super cool as well, every class she tries to teach me a new French curse word. And a few days ago I had to come up and explain some Norwegian ones and teach them how to pronounce them, the best part was when our Catholic counselor came in and talked to the class with me standing by the blackboard, chalk in hand, writing swearwords :P Didn't seem like she knew Norwegian though, lucky for me.
And here are some more photos from Liege, most of which features other AFS students. Read the captions for more information ;)
As mentioned earlier I figured it was a good idea to make something cool out of the images I was taking. And my dad (real dad) came up with a genius idea, enacting the history of Belgium :D Kind of like "Tre raske menn"s ("Three fast men"s) "Verdenshistorien på 5 minutt". So if you happen to know some main events in Belgian history please tell me ;) I've also figured that I should play it slower and/or take multiple photos per day, just to make it last longer so that you can actually get what is going on :P
But as promised here is the updated humor picture album:
Too see all the photos properly go to the album on Picasa.
So according to my last mini polls you really don't like anything I wrote except from the new feature and Pirating (might have been a spammer there :P Especially since I didn't have that many page visits in the interval the votes were cast). But the system is not perfect, it shows wrong in Internet Explorer, a bit of in Chrome and no idea how it looks in Firefox (just change to Opera, it's better for everyone). And I might add some kind of anti-spam system, seems like I need it after all. But it's late, I'll be back with a new post soon.
Cheers, Peter :D
P.S: If you want to be the first person to know when new posts arrives and get to see all my pictures before everyone else does just subscribe :) Might even give you some special features soon if yo do ;) Just click any of the subscription methods in the menu to the left.
P.P.S: Comment! If there is anything in this post that interests you to the slightest degree tell me :D
So you have to write everything down during class....... Good luck with the cramps :P
ReplyDeleteBtw, are you gonna change the layout or not?
No, you have to write down what you did. So if we learned about trigonometry I would write:
ReplyDeleteMath: Trigonometry
And also when we did it :P
Yes I'll change it as fast as I find time to design something, if you've got any ideas please tell me ;)
Ah i see, much easier than i what i thought about xD. Sorry haven't got any ideas, just make it look cool :D
ReplyDeleteAnd have you seen the results of the election? quite bad for Venstre.....
Btw, it's called to lose, not loose, thought you'd have learnt that by now... And some more details, it's called Raske Menn, not Tre Raske Menn :p
ReplyDeleteJust had to correct you ^^
Btw, I like the synth with the pictures, it's a really cool way to let us see bigger pictures!
Will do Erlend :P No, haven't heard the results, please tell me ;P Ah, sorry Sander, I guess writing posts at midnight is not such a good idea after all. At least not when you get up at 6 o'clock in the morning. Are you sure? I always thought it was "Tre Raske menn". I like them too, I'm trying to make one which wraps around a statue at the moment (so that you can see it in 3D) but I took too few pictures for it to work..
ReplyDeleteJens will be there for 4 more years, just go to db or vg Peter.
ReplyDeleteBut i'm a bit impressed by Standard Liège even though they didn't win. How do people react over there?
db or vg, yea, exactly.. Have I missed something or did you just use some crazy gamer slang :P Impressed? They played pretty horrible, they're just really good at fixing mistakes. And that penalty was completely bogus, should have been yellow card to the Liege player for incompetence in running (damn I wish they could give out incompetence cards, would have been so much fun).
ReplyDeleteøh db.no = dagbaldet.no and vg has always been just vg (verdens gang if you still don't understand).
ReplyDeleteSorry didn't really see the match just part of it, and I'm sure you've got all facts correct :P Btw, those incompetence card wasn't a bad idea. You should have seen T.I.L. the other day, horrible. Though they may have been very tired after all these matches lately, not many substitutes there you know.
And have been doing any sports lately down there?
Well, I've played a bit of badminton, and I would have played some more today if it wasn't for the fact that my head hurts and I'm not feeling very good.. Oh, sorry I misread what you said, thought it was "just to go db on vg". Did we loose?
